“Caring, Training, and Helping One Dog at a Time”
Out of her love for dogs, Gloria had given up a well-paid job at McMaster University, where she had worked for many years as a Statistician, and moved into a small house with a large backyard. In what she calls the “doghouse”, Gloria is finally following her dream and passion to work and live with a pack of her own!
As a child, Gloria had a few puppies that briefly came into her life. Even though being a dog owner didn’t quite work out for her, she was fascinated by how puppies acted and reacted to everything around them.
After years of pursuing a career in the academic world, the day had come that Gloria decided to go back to her first love, and she got her first Samoyed puppy. And this puppy became the catalyst that propelled her into the world of dog-training and canine behavior. As a Certified Canine Behavior Consultant (CCBC-KA), a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA), and a Fear Free Certified® Professional, she has helped over a thousand dogs with behavior modification, puppy trainings, and consultation on canine issues in her practice since 2012.
Other than being a fulltime dog-trainer and consultant, Gloria has also been active in community activities, as well as helping to foster, retrain, and rehome dogs from various backgrounds. She had also volunteered her time to be part of the transportation chain to bring rescue dogs from overseas to Canada.
Every dog is special, and every one of them deserves much love and happiness. It is Gloria’s goal to care for, to train, and to help, one dog at a time.
